Training
CCN provided mentoring and research training to 7 UNC junior faculty, 5 post-doctoral fellows and 10 graduate students interested in community-based approaches to reducing cancer health disparities. Our research training activities included mentored research projects, research seminars and CBPR clerkships with community-based organizations. CCN I training activities met the needs of junior researchers at varying stages of their research careers and from multiple academic departments, culminating in our successful competition for 2 NIH-funded Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research.
