American Cancer Society (ACS) http://www.cancer.org The ACS is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service. With more than two million volunteers nationwide, the American Cancer Society is one of the oldest and largest voluntary health agencies in the United States. Intercultural Cancer Council (ICC) http://www.iccnetwork.org The ICC promotes policies, programs, partnerships, and research to eliminate the unequal burden of cancer among racial and ethnic minorities and medically underserved populations in the United States and its associated territories. Cancer Prevention & Control Research Network (CPCRN) http://www.cpcrn.org/default.asp The CPCRN provides an infrastructure for applying relevant research to local cancer prevention and control needs. Its members conduct community-based participatory cancer research across its eight network centers, crossing academic affiliations and geographic boundaries.
